Afton is also near completion on an excellent new Johnny Miller Signature 18-hole golf course and the parks in the surrounding offer tennis courts and other pastimes.

Any number of camping areas within the Bridger-Teton National Forest are available for nightly and longer-term camping trips.  The Greys River area is dotted with small campgrounds adjacent to the river and further south, just past Afton, you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking and camping near the Salt River Pass area.

Some of Wyoming’s best fly-fishing is found on your choice of three Star Valley area river systems, the Snake River, Greys River and Salt River all offer world-class fly fishing.  You can stalk Cutthroat, Brown and Rainbow Trout with an average range between 12 and 14 inches, with the occasional Brown running up to six pounds.

Your fishing adventures can start as early as June on the Salt while the Snake and Greys are still experiencing mountain run-off.

The mountains surrounding Star Valley offer no shortage of big game animals.  Elk and mule deer are the primary hunting options within the area, but moose, bighorn sheep, bear and other game are also options further along the Yellowstone ecosystem.  A
